Donna Speziatta’s Take: Our campaign features a stunning set called “Crimson Kiss.” The bra is a balconette style in lush red silk satin, overlaid with French lace in a slightly deeper wine hue for dimension. Tiny gold threads in the lace catch the light – a hint of sparkle without any actual glitter (no scratchiness here!). The matching panty is a strappy bikini with lace panels and a keyhole back (festive and a little flirty). We styled it in our lookbook shoot with a sheer black robe to show how red pops against a neutral.

We featured a longline bra and tap pant set in champagne satin with black lace overlay. It has a very 1940s boudoir feel. The longline bra (extends a bit down the torso) gives a gentle corsetry look without being restrictive, and the tap pants (short flared silk shorts) are flirty and comfortable. Paired with a matching garter belt and sheer black stockings, the look is pure retro romance. We shot this in a setting with an antique vanity and pearl necklaces strewn about to capture that old-meets-new vibe.

Additionally, we brought in a corset piece – more for the lookbook than everyday wear – an ivory satin corset with light boning and lace panels. We styled it over a silk blouse and pencil skirt, to show how you could incorporate corsetry into an outerwear ensemble (for the daring fashionista). Corsets and bustiers peeking out can be very on-trend when done right, bridging lingerie and streetwear.

If you love vintage style, consider gifting yourself a silk robe with marabou trim, or high-waisted briefs (which, bonus, are quite comfy and warm for winter!). Polka dot mesh, eyelash lace trims, and soft pastels or rich blacks all contribute to that retro look.

It’s loungewear that hugs you softly (cashmere and modal mix, with enough stretch). Also, our silk pajama sets (which we touched on in the sleepwear post) come into play here, especially in festive colors like a deep red piping on ivory silk, or an emerald green set. We presented one on a model gift-wrapping presents by a tree, to emphasize that being at home in PJs can still feel like a special occasion if the PJs are that nice.
